Eloy Torrez

Biographical Information

Eloy Torrez (1954 - ) was born in New Mexico. He received his B.F.A. from the Otis Art Institution. His work has been exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Laguna Art Museum, the Armand Hammer Museum of Art as well as in galleries in California, Mexico, Spain and France. He has executed murals throughout Southern California, including the "Pope of Broadway" on Broadway, "The Legends of Hollywood" in Hollywood, "Power to the People" in Van Nuys, "Water: Essence of Life" for the cafeteria of the Metropolitan Water District, and the interior of the Koala House at the Los Angeles Zoo. In addition, he executed "Entrada al Mundo Nuevo" in Saint Denis, France.
