Nancy Graves

Biographical Information

Nancy Graves (1940 - ), was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She received her B.A. from Vassar College and her B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Yale. Her work is exhibited in the collections of major museums, including the Whitney and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. "Trace", which Graves described as her "first fabricated piece, enlarged from cast bronze"(1) can be seen be seen in the plaza at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
