Lloyd Hamrol

Biographical Information

Lloyd Hamrol (1937 - ) was born in San Francisco. He received his B.A. (1959) and M.F.A. (1963) from UCLA. Known for his physically engaging public art pieces, his "Uptown Rocker" is different by not being physically accessible. Hamrol has had his projects exhibited at several group shows at the Los Angeles County Art Museum. In addition to his many public art installations throughout the United States, "Twenty-One Stones" can be seen at Exposition Park along Exposition Boulevard and "Moore's Stone Volute" can be seen at the California Institute of Technology.
