Water Story
Larry Kirkland. A set of steps with running water and inscriptions, such as "meander mingle and run," "drink & drain guzzle &flush," or "surge & crash & spray." In addition, there is a large stone bench in the shape of the state of California, which has the following inscription: "Clouds from the Pacific Ocean travel east across California bringing moisture. Most rain falls in the northern half of the state and snow accumulates in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada along the eastern border. Nearly all of Southern California water must be transported from hundreds of miles away."
