Lotus Shaft Fountain
Lee Lawrie, Los Angeles Public Library, north patio. Sienna marble carvings on the fountain illustrate the delights of reading. The fountain is in a small courtyard, the sides of which are covered by small panel carvings depicting Alice in Wonderland, Mother Goose, Arabian Nights, King Arthur, Robin Hood, and Ali Baba.
