Carolyn Craig Franklin Library Garden Courtyard

North side of Doheny Library. University of Southern California. Details. Carolyn Franklin was active in the Faculty Wives Club and Town and Gown. Together with her husband, Carl M. Franklin, who was a law professor, chie financial officer and general counsel at USC, Mrs. Franklin raised more than $100 million for chairs, professorships, scholarships, buildings, and equipment at the University. Mrs. Franklin died in 1993. The fountain and the landscaping were made possible by a gift from the Morris Smith Foundation.
