The Trojan Sword

Installed in 2012, John McKay Center. Text from the plaque: This column is dedicated to Mark Jackson, who led the development and competion of the John McKay Center. Just as the column holds the Trojan Sword, a symbol of conquest and victory, so Mark's tireless work wupported the establishment of this building where USC athletes train for competition. Mark's dedication serves as a rock-solid foundation for this lasting call to excellence for every trojan warrior.

The inscription in Greek above the arch reads: Sound mind in a sound body.
